About Me
KC
I only collect these as a hobby. Don't take anything I say as a fact.
These were all gathered from chert gravels in Tangipahoa Parish.

Pebble
This pebble is infested with what seem to be tiny chunks of bryozoans. In the second picture, you can see the distinctive pattern of one.

Crinoid in the tip of a pebble
Here you can see half of an eroded crinoid stuck in the tip of a pebble. You can clearly see both sides of it. Neat!

Crinoid Arms
Here you can see the impression of many crinoid arms. A small chunk of segments still remain on the stone.

Eroded Crinoid on Pebble
This is an interesting view of the insides of a crinoid segment.
Crinoid Bits
Here are several crinoid segments.
The segment to the far right has bud for a holdfast.

The find that started it all
After finding this one by accident, I can't stop looking for more.
This is a slice of rugose coral.
